Springs...

...woo. I just swaped out the springs on my Mystic Dream....the bridge was really stiff and lifeless...and no joke this guitar SOUNDS different (in a great way) and I've got some life in the bar woo. 5 minutes and it plays better than it did the entire time I've owned it.

I talk to Kevan fairly often in AIM (home island dude) and it should be out by NAMM last I'd heard He's trying to make sure it's Petrucci-compatible...

Just new springs....I bought that guitar used (it was in tip top MINT condition for like a grand....I knew you'd cry....) but the trem was always hella stiff, so I swapped the springs and it's made a huge improvement, also it SOUNDS better....I dunno maybe dude put some substandard jams in there....I setup the bridge and it plays and sounds killer.

What kinda springs, OC, and where didya get 'em? My AL's are stiff-ola too, not at all like my Luke's, and I've been contemplating a swap for a bit now.

(Also, an aside - I used the exact same Abominable Snowman avatar graphic for the return labels on my Christmas cards a couple years ago....those Rankin/Bass Xmas shows RULE!)
