Spuds and Lemons make me happy!

Hey All,
I'll stop banging on about my fame after this thread - I promise! -


As some of you know my wife hasn't been too well recently and was very ill the weekend of Guitar Nation which I was very keen to attend to see Albert, Spud & the Lemon as well as meet a few more of you Knuckleheads. As well as giving Pete a send off before he goes to the Lemon grove.

When my wife took ill it was too late to cancel my flights or hotels and I lost a tonne of money - but hey it's love what can you do!?

Sgt Spud and Major Lemon of the ALOC never leave a man behind and as a compensation gift I got a care package from Spud today - check it out !

1 x Signed copy of the Magazine by some guy called Albert Lee!!!
1x Big-ass poster of the front cover!

Guys, really peaved I couldn't have been there, but this is a really nice gift - THANK YOU !

And yes I don't photograph well, and yes I am wearing Musicman Jogging pants!

Very cool, Mike! You really scored a jackpot with that magnificent AL of yours, looks just fabulous and it proved itself to be very photogenic, too!

Spud and Lemon...great job! It's great gestures like this one that make this place really feel like family.

Hi Smelly I'm in Scotland next week - Cumbernauld - possibly two weeks after that as well (3 weeks in all!). Still, it's prolly at least another 4 hours from your neck of the woods ?

I had Albert sign the mag for you, also one for me. I also have another that I will offer up as a prize in this years "Spud's online Xmas bash!!!"

It was kind of funny when I asked Albert to sign it - he said "Can you get me a copy too?"

Glad it all arrived safe and sound and quite quickly too. I tried to get the poster when Albert was on the S & T stand but they said that they didn't have a spare and promised me one or should I say two at the end of the show.

Glad you like it - it was the least I could do for a valuable member of the ALOC.

Oh yeah, I only realised when I presented a photo of the ALOC to Albert (from last years bash) that you weren't on the photo - mainly cos you couldn't bring your BFR Al with you (damn airlines !!!)

You should have been in that photo grrrrrrrrrr
