Eddie: I don't know if I oughta go sailin' down no hill with nothin' between the ground and my brains but a piece of government plastic.
Clark: Do you really think it matters, Eddie?
Eddie: Every time Catherine revved up the microwave, I'd piss my pants and forget who I was for about half an hour or so.

So what would you guys do...

You have no guitar and your offered either a high end acoustic or a Squire electric until your back on your feet and can afford a new EBMM.

I'd go with the acoustic. Definitely not because I dislike Squiers but simply because a good acoustic can do so much for your playing, you'll probably even improve your technique!

Sure, you'll miss plugging in but let me tell ya, I play my EBMMs unplugged quite often just because I love how they sound and to get some flaws out that otherwise would be "eaten up" by the amp...and to not annoy the neighbors, of course...;)
