I'd go with the acoustic. Definitely not because I dislike Squiers but simply because a good acoustic can do so much for your playing, you'll probably even improve your technique!

Sure, you'll miss plugging in but let me tell ya, I play my EBMMs unplugged quite often just because I love how they sound and to get some flaws out that otherwise would be "eaten up" by the amp...and to not annoy the neighbors, of course...
