Why is it that I prefer the low e sting's tone on an SR5 than on my stingray 4? Do they use a diffrent pickup? What is it?

AHH!! Why does everything have to be so difficult. I don't like Five strings. But I love the tone of the SR5

also adding more mass to the body and neck dramatically alter the sound.
Even with the same preamp and pups a 5string will always just sound different.

hahahahaha, was it "GEERRRR" or more like "GGUUURRRRRRR!!!"

well personally i prefered the e string on the 4 sting that i played over the E on the SR5. To mine ears the 4 just had a bit of "GUUUURRRRR!" + "IM A FREAKIN StingRay HEAR ME ROAR!" :D

but every MM speaks to us in a different way. The SR4 just spoke my language
