Best.

Stingray 5.

Ever.

Seriously, not many of these are out there and they are FABULOUS. It's the only bass I own that makes me say, "Hmm, maybe I won't play the Bongo...."

1350 for a 20th sr5 is a very good price! heck, even 1550 is good :)

you will not believe the b string on that baby.. its awesome!
if in doubt check out ed friedlands review here:

even if the one here is a single h, you still get 3 sounds from it.. series, parallel and single coil with humcancelling..

i love both of mine! ;)

That sounds promising indeed. The weight (10 lbs) does put me off a little though. Seems to be about the same as my SR5 and - as good as that one sounds - I find it a bit tiring sometimes...

i GASed for one for almost 1 year until i saw one in the store. Tried it, bought it one the spot. this is a great bass!

...yes she's a little on the heavy side. But that tone is worth it imho.

A bass as go as a 20th can't be too heavy. Seriously, I only played one once and it was a little heavy but that is not really a deciding factor when it is THAT good.

Buy it...

Slight Correction here--the single H 20th SR5 does NOT have a single coil position. It has parallel, modified series, and series (which is now the standard scheme for ALL current SR5s).

But all of the sounds are GREAT, and fully usable. I love my 20th Anniversary SR5 H!

Fantastic basses. This could be the one bass I own that would do me for any potential gig for the rest of my life.

Hey livebird have you checked mine on the sale page here ?
I have 2 , they are incredible, I'll make it $1400 down from $1500.
I'll throw in a new set of Slinky's too. Pretty good deal. Rick

Emailed the seller about the weight. 10.6lbs. Darn - I knew there had to be a catch! :)

Maybe I should give the guys at Bass Central a call to see if they have a lighter one...

there are not many of those around and the price is good. Listen to Jack, buy a large strap and enjoy the best SR5 :)

it would be worth it at 11.6lbs

Hope some lurker here hasn't already snagged it. You did say it had a BIN price, right? It could go at any time.
