Help! SR5 Input jack questions

Hi guys! Recently my '95 SR5 slipped out of the strap and as the result the input jack is broken. I went to the store but did not find similar and qualitative replacement. Could you please suggest me some exact models/brands that will fit for my SR? And what is the original input unit manufacturer? The only thing it says is "Mexico" :)

you probably want one of these:

Switchcraft : 1/4" MIL-Type Enclosed Jack These seem to be available in 4 conductor varieties.

Or you could contact customer service, who would probably either get you one, or give you the correct part number.

Then get some locking straps ends.

Ty very much. I've contacted CS yesterday already but did not get the answer yet. Yes sir, I'm going to get some straplocks. Got EB superlocks on my BFR but did not fit my SR cuz it is much heavier so I was afraid it could damage original long screws over time. The screws included to the superlocks package seemed pretty short and insecure. So I decided not to install it on my honeyburst at this time. I was wrong.

Hmm... does your SR have the original screws/strap buttons? I seem to recall the screws for the super locks being the same size and thread pitch as the stock screws. They are slightly shorter because they sit at the bottom of the strap button, but still penetrate just as much into the wood. I've got some Schaller locks on a 11lb Heritage H150, and they have the thinnest screws all all the locking strap ends. I've never had a problem at all, nor have i heard about them shearing off. The weight of the entire bass is not nearly enough to break the screws/etc.

only thing to always be aware of is making sure the locks are in fact locked in. Ball bearing locks like the EB super locks and Dunlop Strap locks need to be inserted all the way and kept lubricated to make sure the ball bearings are in the locking groove.

I can't be sure about the original screws cuz both of my basses were bought used. But When I changed the buttons on my BFR SR5 the "original" screws were much more longer than superlocks ones. So I decided to keep the old ones which seemed more trusty.
 
FWIW, I've got Schaller strap locks on all three of my EBMMs, and never had a problem with the screws that came with the Schallers.
 
guess they are fine too, but the ebmm screws are way longer, i use schaller too, ther are the best in my opinion but i Always use the Original thicker and langer screws... just to be shure.

They don't think it's a 4 pole jack, they believe it's probably a jack with a dual tip spring - which we've built them as specials for guitar manufacturers in the past. The additional tip spring improves plug retention.

I believe the SR5 is a Music Man guitar or bass and unfortunately we haven't done business with them in a long time."

Still did not get the answer from CS. After 4 or 5 days waiting they just asked about my location.
 
Any good stereo jack will do, AFAIU. You need the second tip spring to engage the battery/active electronics (to close the circuit when you plug in the jack). Whether that's a stereo spring, or a dual mono spring, I believe is less important. (But I might be wrong, so please correct me if I am.)

Bying original jack is great but the national post in my country is extremely bad and they already lost one shipping from MusiMan :( I can use some private delivery companies I guess like FedEx or DHL but that 4$ jack will cost me much more) So maybe anybody know something about aftermarket jack that will fit an old ceramic SR5?
