I would like to just say how much I love and appreciate the Stingray 5. I played at my church this morning (which has excellent musicians) and the Stingray 5 just blew everyone away. It's so powerful and just delivers on so many levels.

That is all.

I played my SR5 at church today too. I don't play 5 that much and it is my least gigged bass. I felt an aprreciation for it like I had not before. Not for the power but for it's more refined tone. It happens to be an HS. If you think the SR5's strong point is it's power I assume you have not yet played a beastly Bongo.

Sometimes a SR5 just doesn't seem that great until you're surrounded by musicians who can carry their load, then the feeling is indescribable. Man these musicman basses just sit in the mix SOOOOOOO well. It's amazing! Makes me so excited.

My band rehearses in a room with terrible acoustics, and my SR5 is the ONLY bass that will sound good there.

It's like the "ultimate mix death match" and the SR5 kicks butt.

The SR5 is a very fine instrument. It does all a bass can. Until you get a Bongo.

imho

I just bought an SR5 after abandoning EB for a while (I sold my Bongo 4 a couple of years ago). I haven't played it in a band situation yet, but it sounds brilliant solo and I can hear all the qualities in the tone that mean it's going to sound wonderful in the mix. Rehearsal's on wednesday, I can't wait!
