Question SR50 vs the real deal?

Hey guys.
I don’t have much experience with Sterling or EBMM guitars but I want a Stingray real bad. But I’m not in a location to try them freely.

I’ve only played a Kensrue model and it was awesome. I keep hoping Sterling will release a cheaper version because I don’t have $3k right now, but since they probably won’t, how close is the SR50 to a real Stingray? Specs are a little different lol but if it will “scratch the itch” I might just get one of those.

IMO , I have found that the SBMM models while OK do not really feel/sound/play like the real deal.

That’s what I was worried about.
Maybe I’ll just sell all my tube amps and spring for a used Kensrue
