I spent the better part of a month tracking it down for his press agent in NY with the help of Bill Bolton down under and we found it at Guitar Broker (Craig Brody's) in Florida. It was a surprise gift for him and Flea himself doesn't know the real story behind it. No biggie either way to me but at least a "thank you" from someone would have been appreciated.

Thank you.

At the BDay party with the proper amount of Tequila I will tell all of you some Flea stories. He's actually a good guy. we got sideways when his attorney got involved and Flea wanted money to play the SR. Modulus told him he would make money and I would love to see if it was worth it for Flea.

You're right Steve, a thank you would have been nice. I hope his press agent didn't say he did all the work.

It was a "she" in NYC and the story never was relayed to Flea apparently as it was a surprize. He just thinks some guy in Australia swapped it to him for one of his Modulus Flea basses while on tour. The only two people who really know what went down are myself and Bill Bolton, neither of which even got a "thanks". Like I said, no biggie. I didn't even get a thank you from Brody in FL who got the (then) $8,500 sale.

Nothing to do with Flea's bass but Steve I really appreciate you helping me locate my LE Sterling HH. I will soon be purchasing a green Sterling HS from you to help show my appreciation.

Saw a live show on TV in London about a month ago. Looked like and old J to me but could have been a Modulus J as well. With Gallien-Krueger gear.

Was that the outdoor TOTP one? He was playing the jazz.
