Has anyone (including EBMM staff) had any experience instaling or using SS frets on a Ball?
Any opinions/advice? (Contemplating a refret soon)

Hey Jim,

cannot speak for a Ball but I'm using stainless steel frets on my Godin Artisan ST1 on an ebony fretboard and it feels and plays great. Completely different from my Silos, though but still diggin' it...

Sounds like a good idea to me - Tim is probably right about it being a pinta (pain in the .....) to dress.

I'll ask my guitar building buddy what he thinks when I see him next week.

Had em on a replacement neck I bought, loved em. They weren't overly bright and felt fine.

They feel alot "tighter" to me. In a good way. Jon is right, you can really tear through strings. But I change them really often anyway.

Stainless frets are made from old DeLoreans. They look kinda weird, but will allow your guitar to travel time if properly modified.

Buy your strings by the truckload...I'm just sayin

With the guitar techs that I have to deal with in my town and the numerous crappy fret jobs they've done (never twice by the same guy, and I'm running out of techs), I'm wondering which is the lesser of two evils. :(
