Whoo hoo! Did you call in sick? It sounds to me that you have a pretty bad cough. :D

Even better, I'm telecommuting today. My employer is good about letting people do that on occasion, and today seemed like a good day to stick around the house.

And yes, my digital camera is ready and fully charged. I just have to find a photo host.

Yeah, I like the guys at Bass Central and in my first experiment with posting pictures, here is the last I bought from them...

Hope this works.

It's here! I've played with it for about 30 minutes and scared the hell out of the dog. I LOVE the flat black finish and the black hardware. Now let's see if I can post pics:

That bass looks amazing to me. I love it, I wanted one with a piezo but they aren't available with that bridge. So I ended up ordering the saphire black in fretless. They should offer the stealth bass with a graphite neck.

Enjoy.

Now there's a Bass with ATTITUDE! :D

I too telecommute regularly a few days a week - nothing like a little mid-day rumble-break while the wife and kids are out doing their thing!

Too bad for the dog, though... ;)

Ah, he'll be OK. His bed is next to my rig though, and he was dozing when I first plugged in the Bongo. He bolted at the first rumble, but he seems to have suffered no lasting damage. :p

The stealth is awesome. I can see why the Bongo has inspired so much devotion. I'm going to have to experiment with the preamp for a while, but I haven't found any tones I don't like yet.

Thanks to all the Bongo owners on this forum and elsewhere, especially Jason (who owned the first Bongo I ever saw in person) and the esteemed Mr. Bovine. Your raves (and even a few of your ravings) convinced me to pull the trigger on this one.

In the first picture the pickgaurd and the pickups look kinda gray, but the second one they look pretty black. Otherwise very lovely bass.

That's the flash in the first pic. Everything except the fretboard is black.

It's like, how much more black could it be?

Thanks, the walnut P was the ebay steal of my life. I took a flier on it and threw up a bid at the last minute and got it for $425. Ever since I got it, I've said it's the one bass I'll never sell. They're all keepers, though. :)
