Thanks, the walnut P was the ebay steal of my life. I took a flier on it and threw up a bid at the last minute and got it for $425. Ever since I got it, I've said it's the one bass I'll never sell. They're all keepers, though. :)

And, I can easily say that his walnut P is one of the nicest P Basses I've ever played.

His fretless Sterling is enough to make a grown man cry, too.

I think Gary moved away from Atlanta because he was scared I was going to steal his basses. :D

That's the flash in the first pic. Everything except the fretboard is black.

It's like, how much more black could it be?

How about an Ebony board Mugs?

That's be nice dontcha think?

No ebony board is the only reason I didn't get the Stealth! That would have made the package complete. I'm happy with the Lava Pearl though ;)

Yeah, that would make it completely black, which would be cool (though I must say it looks pretty damn cool already). I believe the question of fretboard wood options has been raised here before, though, and IIRC the answer from EB was that rosewood sounded better on the Bongo than anything else.

I was just going for the Spinal Tap reference anyway. The correct answer is:

None... more black.

Darth Tater, the Lava Pearl is beautiful. I'd have been happy with that or probably Egyptian Smoke if I didn't get the stealth.

Looks really nice, I will also comment on the P, like the walnut... From the pictures, its looks like a satin black kind of finish, I have a Fernandes guitar in that finish. Congrats!

What about the prints you get right after eating a bucket of Original Recipie then fondling the satin finish?

Fingerprints on the Stealth are less of a pain than on a gloss finish

Jon's right. I've had my grubby hands all over the stealth the past few days and it doesn't show fingerprints. I haven't tried after eating a bucket of chicken though. I'll let you know after my next trip to Popeye's. :)

That bass is so black that you might lose it on a dark stage! Plus being made of stealth technology radar won't even help you find it!

I can't wait for the lefty's, first I wanted a buttercream one, then a glossy black one and after seeing your stealth... I'm damn confused.

DAMMIT! Our Popeye's closed like a year ago..man I miss that chicken. The spicy is by far the best fried chicken on earth!

Stealth Bongo AND Popeye's chicken...mmmmmmm. Guess I'll settle for my Lava Pearl Bongo and KFC.

Yeah, Popeye's rocks. Stealth vs. Lava Pearl Bongo is a close call, but Popeye's vs. KFC is not.

Hey kids
We didn't use ebony because we have had problems with very early ones we did with drying out and splitting and cracking. Our truss rod system works better with rosewood and maple ebony is just a litle to stiff.

We almost went for a high tech plastic but didn't think our servers could handle the bitching.

Glad you like it I really think it is a great bass

the buttercream I have on order . . . . . .
Might have to let something else in the stable go
so I can have both . . .
