Anyone else out there really anxious to see the Sterling 5?

I love my SR5. I'll probably only be able to "afford", or in other words "convince my wife to let me buy", one bass next year, so it will be either a Bongo 5 or Sterling 5.

I haven't actually played a Bongo 5. I played a Bongo at GC and really liked it, but I have a gut feeling that the Sterling 5 is going to be worth holding out for.

ME ME ME..............I have been thinking about that quite a bit lately with the 20th SR5's in the process of becoming more unavailable (new ones anyway). I really cannot afford a 20th now but have been thinking maybe the Sterling 5 would be a possibility for next year like you. Rough specs. (i.e. neck width, weight, etc) or proto pics or anything of the like would be great to see if it has gotten far enough along for that. It may just be to soon but it is interesting fodder.

I know it's too soon...definitely not pushing for any sneak peaks. Just wondering if anyone else out there was having a hard time not thinking about it.

I'm afraid neither BP nor anyone at EBMM will deliver a single clue about the Sterling 5 until its released... :( I'm curious too about what it will be and look like.

i think they will. history shows that the MM crew tells us stuff before the release. im sure when they've got something theyre ready to go public with we'll be the first to know

tnx to this CVA of mine, my 20th SR5 and '07LE Blue Dawn $$$ have to buy a new motor chair:eek::(

however by "hook or by crook", I can dream about a new STerling 5 Piezo in Tobacco Burst and I think my new and sweet wife will give me her blessing as long as it helps my rehab which the doc tells me will keep progressing over time if I do the work and don'y give up on it:;)didn't anybody tell him that EBMM baass players aren't quitters???:rolleyes:

Y'zall Get on theSterling 5 GASpedal NOW!!!

BP were I you the Sterling 5 would debut when I had my first grand baby. :D

It will be something special I am sure.

It has to be tough to top the Bongo.

The Bongo has to be the hardest bass to improve on there is.

It is my end all of bass sound I know.

Not trying to hinder BP and crew from adavancement.

I just want it known a bongo makes me and my bndmates happy.

I'm extremely excited, considering how much I love the Sterling 4. The wait is tough because not only do we know it's coming, but also we know it will be awesome.

you will see the frist drawings on the screen all the way though the prototyping ..we are just swamped keeping up and integrating all the previous new stuff

The EBMM philosophy is definitely one of a kind. I really thought that just like other manufacturers you would keep your new products top secret until their release, thus my previous post. I have to apologize. :D

BP just doesn't do things like "other manufacturers". Really no need to apologize, just sit back and take it in (incoming gas that is). I am already getting visions of a Sterling 5 in white with matching headstock, rosewood board, and tort guard. Got gas for something I haven't even seen.

At this step I have more curiosity than GAS about the Sterling 5. I even can't tell if I will like it or not, but I'm pretty sure it's gonna be something interesting.
