best bet would be to wait for an MM employee to see this thread and post a retail price OR you could call up your favorite dealer and ask them for a quote. You dealer will be able to give you a quote for "street price" (what you pay) but here on the forum we're only allowed to post retail (MSRP) prices.

call these guys... they'll help you out. they're my fav dealer FWIW

I got a quote from Brian at Washington Music of $<street price EDIT by phatduckk> before any upgrades (matching headstock, double humbucker etc.) That's the best I can offer.

Why is that? MSRP is such an outdated pricing system, nobody ever pays that. Why even bother with it, it's not really even useful in knowing how much to pay.

I wouldn't call it "outdated". In fact, I can't think of a company that doesn't reference MSRP. The reason we don't quote individual dealer "street" pricing, on the forum, is to keep the playing field as level as possible. I'm sure you can understand the possible issues that could result from posting specific dealer prices. :)

As you know this forum's run by Ernie Ball. The company has to be fair to all dealers. Posting street prices here would subvert this fairness.

Also if dealers posted prices this forum would turn into ebay or a makeshift online, advertising platform. Tons of dealers would show up, post their prices in their sigs etc etc.

This isn't a marketplace... its a forum.

+ we all know you never pay MRSP. Also, the normal/average % off MRSP isn't a secret either.
