I wish the piezos were available on this one, but I'm sure the reasoning is just "not yet." It's a new model, I'm sure the gang just wants to see how well it does in its first year before they go adding in other options such as left handed or piezo bridges.

Finally, the Sterling is available as a 5 string, and in an natural color. I was wondering if anyone could tell me why the piezo option isn't available in this "near perfect" bass ??
Hopefully, someone with first-hand info will chime in, but does the Sterling 5 have a newly designed bridge? Probably so......which means it will take some time to get the piezo saddles ready. I mean, that is IF the piezos are in the works for this bass.

I thought they were using the same bridge? That's why I attributed it to "Okay, it's a new model, let's see how it does before we give it some more stuff that increase our costs of production." It could be the preamp, perhaps?
Someone from MM will have to chime in. I'm going to watch this one. I'm interested.

That raises an interesting question.
How many different bridges are there? I just assumed that bridges were shared across models, like tuners.
