Sterling AX20

Hello everyone. I don't post here much but I have been using Slinky's for life. Anyway, I am looking at a used, like new, Sterling AX20. To be honest, I know nothing about the Sterling line and would like some input. I have played (never owned) quite a few EBMM's and have always like the feel of them, very comfy neck profiles and body contours. I have played a couple of the older OLP's and have thought not bad, but no where close to the EBMM's (obviously). From what I have been reading, the Sterling line is a step up above the OLP? I understand and don't expect it to be in the same EBMM category, but for their price are they a good buy? The one I'm looking at is $325 shipped and in like new condition according to the seller. I'd appreciate any and all input and advice... Thanks!

I think you will find that most people here would say that the Sterlings are a good buy. I've heard that the quality is good.

It will most likely just accelerate you into an unstoppable mindset that you NEED to have a real EBMM. Good luck.

I think Sterlings are excellent guitars. Especially for wear-and-tear gigs where you get scratches and nicks all the time, I would cry if my expensive EBMM would go through such torture .

im glad you went for it it is a great guitar

i also had a sterling silo20 and that made me want a real EBMM when i had it. i got a silo20, so i got a EBMM ASS, then i got the ax20 coz i wanted a RW board axis. but now im back to maple boards and now im selling the AX20.

Thanks for selling it to me Poderoso, I'm very excited to get it... I figure this will just be the GAS kicker to make me want a real deal EBMM. I may want to opt for the Silhouette though
