Hey Guys
Ive know Ed for over ten years. He was in a former life in accessories and then went deep into a secret place and I was VERY pleased that Ed acccepted the bass buyers position.

Please welcome him in to the family and I think that we can learn alot together!

Hiya Ed!! Congrats on your new position...do you buy on a national basis or regional?

Any friend of BP's is...well...um...a kooky character for sure. I bet it was a treat hanging with BP and Dudley up in the hall of fame room. I did at the OH but I never did find where he stashes the beer...you have any better luck??

Steve, I didn't find any beer. But I was blind-folded and led into a room that had a collection of the most amazing stuff I've ever seen! I ask Sterling if I could move in there. He said NO.

Spending the day at Musicman and hanging with Sterling, Dudley and Scott was not just fun but a learning experience as well. What a way to start my new gig as GC's Bass Products Buyer!
I want to thank Sterling for giving up his afternoon for this project. And thanks to this forum for the "web hits". The videos were watched / downloaded over 500 times that first day alone!

Later,
Ed Ocean, GC

BTW: We are working on some guitar vids

Ed,

Great job on the videos, can't wait to see the guitar ones as well. I hope that you'll be able to help spread the Music Man gospel in your new position! ;)

These are the best kept secrets in all guitardom!

Sterling vids

If you think Sterling has bass chops, wait to you see / hear him on guitar!
While we were filming these vids, I wanted to pick up a lick or two. Forget it!

BTW, BP, good explanation of active electronics. I think a lot of players don't really have a good starting point for the onboard e.q.

The SR5 with the outermost coils on (position 2) sounds like the fullest, punchiest jazz bass ever. I'm gettin' a SR4 HH now, that's it.

Can junior members call Sterling Big Poppa yet?
