Let's Zip it.
I thought he made his points quite well.
its cool and accepted michaeluvapete said:Rodtrussbroken you are absolutely right. I actually looked at it afterwards and realized if I was going to be calling someone on their grammical errors I should not make any myself.
Ok so you and Mobay have made me feel like crap about my email. I take it back.-- oh yea, can't take it back.
Anyhow:
Mike- I have decided that I have become a fan of your posts. Please continue as you were. Your posts are sortof like Bongos- an aquired taste.
I took a seminar in college on William Faulkner (as well as a class on the British Post Modernists (James Joyce) and have always been fascinated by stream of consciousness writing-- which is what your writing essentially is. (note ending sentence in preposition is bad.)
As a relative newbie I'm not sure if I can welcome you to the forum, but I look forward to reading more of your posts, as well as hearing more about your forays into amateur bass electronic engineering.
thanks bovinehostbovinehost said:Um....I was a language teacher.
But hey, as long as we're playing (or working on or lusting for) Stingrays and Sterlings and, of course, Bongos.....well, really, I can't say I won't ever say anything (looking at Jubs), but I shall endeavor to curb my desire to correct errors and instead simply revel in the warmth of Our Mutual Bass Admiration Society.
Welcome aboard, Mike!

pete i have had this disability almost 35 years its severe enough to stop me but i wont quit , i play through a marshall valvestate vs 265 . and yes i do know sigh but not all of it well like i said i read alot watch people play out and learn from books and cds . im curently working on some recordings of my songs thats right my songs i drilled the 5 open chord shapes and learned the bare chords and played scales in each position all over the neck for 2 years playing those by memory every day ! hell i know the lead to fade to black all of it but im not up to speed thats ok we all have our limits and tabs work for alot of people . ive become a big fan of a friend who once told me hes a beliver of applyed theory s are you ? and i am a moderator for these guys because they think i can help a lot of people who dont know how to play or set goals to gain success in music i post a lot of helpfull topics for both guitar and bass players and if i mess up they help me correct it so its understandable its mainly because i take interest in what i practice and play im currently useing pentatonics in the modes im useing and its cool but i never invented it ! it was a sort of a show you how its done in basics but me i just gotta further it in all keys to use it properly and i do this on paper and pencil to futher my knowledge to help others and my grammer will inprove sometime i love music like all of you guys thanks michael.uvapete said:Mike-
how severe is your hearing loss? Have you had this your whole life?
From your post I take it you know and use sign language?
I am curious as to how you play guitar if you cannot hear- and I say that with the utmost honesty and curiosity.
Pete
i wear a hearing aid which i forgot to mention and i try like hell to get good sounds from my amp some times its too much this or that but its close enough for me . i do hear what i play and i know what sounds good and what dont ! forgive me ( but i like to shake the house ) i have a jackson dx 10 non boost a fender strat / a fender telecaster / a alverese accoustic a digitech GNX1 , a tascam 4 track recorder and a beringer mini mixer, a zoom 707 the arch top is gone but not forgotten hell when i got rid of that guitar it had holes in the fretboard ( finger wear ) and the sterling bass is a friends whom trusts me with the bass and repair work so i can get it back soon hell be thrilled ! ive even repaired a 57 strat that whom ever repaired that took everything but the wire and we still talk some times when im out of town to see the old ladys son talk about some one who was happy as hell i did that job for free when he got the parts for it . all we had was two guys jammin in a gost town and the cops ! cool see ya guys michael and lol .
