I purchased 2 ray35 basses. The seller said they were mid 90’s but wasn’t sure. I tried to google but nothing came up for the Sterling models. SR 10245 and SR 22136 Any help would greatly be appreciated.

I had one and thought it was a decent bass for the money. I've never owned a Ray and wanted a second bass that sounded like a Ray without having to pay for a real one and it did the job. Obviously, the fit/finish wasn't great, but when I A/B tested it with a real Ray it was difficult to tell the difference.

Also, I think I bought mine around 2010 and think it was when they first came out, so I doubt yours are from the 90's.

Last week during my lunch break, I picked up a SBMM stingray at the local guitar shop. Cheap as all get out ($349), but it was 8.5lbs and very resonant. It buzzes due to 5 high frets, so I'm removing the frets soon and converting it to fretless. I also have some MM branded hardware and electronics. Pictures to come soon.
