Just received my Sterling Black Cherry Burst with piezo. This is one beautiful bass guitar. Oh, yeah, did I mention that it sounds as good as it looks? The piezo-equipped bridge is definitely the ticket. I'll post some pics in an hour or so as soon as my camera batteries recharge.

VERY nice Trix.

I'm curious what you/others think of the piezo ... can you describe what it does to your tone?

I love the piezo on the MM. With the tone controls set in the flat positions, and panning between the piezo and pickup, (to me) the tone of the piezo has more body. I wouldn't describe the addition as "more of an upright sound," but it can certainly expand your tone.

I think Pzolover is taking a humorous jab at Toronto (no piezo) since he lives in Western Canada (with piezo) - Vancouver, British Columbia ... but isn't the mountain picture of Lake Louise ... Alberta ?!?!

Nashman ... here's a more Ontario translation, from an ol' Muskoka redneck / (Xtra notes by Webster) ;)

"Resist No Longer"

Nashman,

Of course your new SR4 '06LE is a beauty, but it's only the start of your new beginning; you know you can't resist diversifying your MM portfolio, possibly with a Sterling / Piezo like the one above.

You know were here to support you through the agony of colour choices and special order waiting times ;)

You are right Pzolover. I'm already thinking #2. My thoughts are a used Stingray 4 or 5, HS w/piezo, maple board, honeyburst ... would be quite different from my new one.
