I've had this one for a few weeks and this weekend got some time to break her down and install Big Block and pull the neck and hit it with some tint......still have a nice satin feel to the neck.

These Sterlings are such a nice bang for the buck guitar. Love it.

That does look really nice.

An alternative is to sand the neck down and tru oil it. That would naturally age with play. I find that the tiger stripes become more prominent with age on my guitars.

Tinted lacquer was used on mine.
I sanded the light sealer coat back,wiped with Naptha(lighter fluid) removed machine heads and Floyd nut,masked the headstock and tinted to taste.Spray right over the frets,lacquer comes right off afterwords.
