Has anyone modded their new Sterling Classic to have the same pickup switching as a regular single H Sterling?
I love how the classic Sterling looks, but I live and die by the pickup switching on my regular Sterling.

It could be done but you'd need to have a good luthier.

Can I suggest you look at your Classic as a different voice to your Regular Sterling and not mod it.

you may have to disassemble the entire pickup to make it series/parallel capable. It may not even be the same pickup as on the normal sterling.

It also just occurs to me that they surely do not have the phantom coil that the "normal" Sterling has.
I wonder if Guitar Center would mind me taking one apart before i buy it?

I beleive the Preamp in the Classic Sterling is a Basic 2band Stingray Preamp, with that all I have done to one of mine was swap out the pickup with an old Stingray pickup I got off ebay and I Love it, but I also Love my other Stock Classic Sterlings that are Stock.
