I have been playing my Sterling HH for over a year now and about a month ago during a gig I noticed that any notes I played on the D or G strings were barely audible. It sounds like my bass just drops out when I go to those strings.

I changed the strings, changed the battery, lowered the pickups, raised the pickups, and nothing seems fix it. It happens at every venue I play at, whether it be through my rig or DI into the board. As soon as I go to my backup bass, all is fine.

I am stumped, any ideas?

Thanks.

Hi. Your bass is out of warranty, but I would still give EB customer service a call. 866 823 2255. You'll probably have to send it in and they may charge you to fix it, but that's really your best bet if you want it done right. Your only other option would be to find a good luthier in your area. Troubleshooting these types of problems over the web can be a recipe for a headache.
