sterling neck on a stingray body..will this work??

Nope.

Neck pockets are different sizes and the heels are entirely different.

Get the Buttercream. If you don't like it you can alway get some flat black Krylon and make it into a Stealth.

The BC is for a limited time(how limited, I don't know) and the Stealth is going to be produced for a longer time if I understand correctly. That being said, I went with a BC and I'm thinking about ordering a Stealth Bongo 4 w/ 1 bucker.
