This is the pic that was printed in Editorial although cropped a bit.

NAMM2006215.jpg

L-R are BG Senior Editor Ed Friedland, BG Technical Editor Terry Buddingh, Moi, BG Editor-In-Chief E.E. Bradman.

This photo may actually become a bit of a milestone in the future as it was taken by my Karen in a hospitality suite at the Hilton during NAMM the night I entered into an agreement with Bass Guitar Magazine to sponsor my School of Bass this October (previously sponsored by Bass Player Magazine).

No contracts or even handshakes required...just a lucky rub of Ed's head was all that was required.

ps: Now I have many other "contracts" on my desk to sign pertaining to SOB...wish all agreements could be done so easily as the one I cut with these guys!! Last time I just showed up semi-sober and did my schtick...now I own the school and have to actually produce and run it.

Those are all genuine smiles for sure.

I've been friends and even competitors with these three guys now for years. Back in the day when I was Associate Editor at Bass Frontier's Magazine all three of them were on the editorial staff over at Bass Player Magazine so I was always trying to scoop their butts with interviews or new gear reviews etc....but it was always a very friendly competition.

Now all three have moved over to Bass Guitar Magazine and they're very supportive of The Dude Pit and School of Bass so it was a natural progression to have BG sponsor SOB this time around.

I personally subscribe to both Bass Player and Bass Guitar Magazines and love both of them.

Man to woman: That's ok, it's not my finger!!
