Really great to see how Luke improvised over these tunes, compared to the CD solos. He has some basic ideas that he does, but he really goes for it live and take chances.
He's got the fire back, something I thought was lacking in the last Toto DVD in Paris.
and he's using that Gold Luke, people are going to be all over those 200 when it's release in March.

I'd have to say that rendition if Little Wing was something special. With what may be one of the most covered song of all time Luke turns unique heartfelt and special. I dig that!!

Thanks for the link Rob! excellent gig, although Luke didn't felt that way. This is what he wrote on the Toto Network:

'Guys,
This was a tech meltdown gig! NO vocal monitors or on and off, TRIED to not show it but I was dying inside.. , the wireless went OFF on my guitar the first tune cause the camera guys were all on the SAME frequency and were NOT at soundcheck.. keyboard monitors went on and off. NOT a good show.. Hard to sing in tune in a 2000 seat place with NO monitors in a echo filled room.
The monitor guy was in another room and I could not even see him.. disaster, and all on Live TV of course.. we do 50 great shows and THIS is the one that gets on TV ? Story of my life.. haha
You can see it in our eyes, the fear of " what is gonna go wrong next?" More did. haha
Life is NOT on a hard drive for me.. wish it was sometimes

Man, despite all the technical disasters and Luke still sounds like that? Man, that shows what a consumate professional he is right there. Trying to sing with monitor problem would really take the piss out of the whole thing, but Luke still laid it down, amazing.
