Hi.

Please help me if this is an original EBMM. It's body is ORIGINALLY black. I noticed that the headstock is black too like my ex-Sub 1.

Is there truly a Steve Morse series 2 model like the seller claims?

I would post the serial number in the "date my guitar" thread to see what they can tell you about it.

Now, that looks to be "Morse Blueburst" which is a standard color on the steve morse guitars. You said it was originally black? Was it repainted by the factory? It definitely LOOKS like a real one.

Everything on the body states it's a correct Morse body. Even the trem cavity cover is white/black/white.
The strap buttons are not original. The neck is similar to a custom order I made with EBMM in the late 90's for
a Morse. It was blueburst, Floyd, Black Pearloid Guard and matching blueburst headstock.Check with the seller to be sure it's not dark blue, mine was. Black however may be an oddity or a replacement.

Also, the trem saddles do not appear to be offset, so I would guess post 1998/1999. I cannot remenber when EBMM started using the Gotoh 1996 style Floyd with the straight saddles. All of my stuff is offset.

A ferocious guitar regardless. I also have a 93 Blueburst as well with the offset floyd and it is a sonorous cannon of a guitar.
The most clear, defined and acoustically loud guitar I own, Maybe a tie with the 91 EVH steel block floyd.

I guess it's authentic. Here's a post from fellow member Kompressaur at the post your Morse thread:
