Wanted to share „some“ pics from yesterday.

First was a Steve Morse Clinic in Stuttgart. It was my first clinic with Steve. Very interesting. Nearly 2 hourse of talking and hearing Steve play some awesome tunes. Great fun. After that I got my guitar signed for the 2nd time (I only have 1 Morse-model:)). No pics of me and Steve. Unfortunately it was not allowed because it was already very late:(. Also introduced myself to Tommy who was very kind. Thanks man, see you

Second was my 13th Deep Purple show since the age of 15. Yesss, my favourite band…. Not much to say: great show, great setlist, great fun as always

Awesome pics!

It does look like #1 got a new neck or most likely its another beat up Morse with the roated neck.

Thanks guys. I had a Canon EOS 550D at the clinic. That´s all you need, and an ape that pushes the trigger :D
Cool pictures! Is it me or the neck on #1 has a roasted-vibe going on?

I think this is because of the lightning/photography. It was without any doubt #1 (neck AND body) with it´s distinctive flames on the neck

That's a good question Steve :D

I'd like to hear also what you guitar players are thinking about Steve Rothery. He is the one who virtually put a guitar in my hands :)

I was kinda of attracted by this instrument but when Marillion came on the early 80's they gave me that final kick to go ahead

at the concert in nürnberg, marillion did a great job!
steve hogarth performed nearly like peter gabriel in the old genesis days.
i was a bit shocked about the body-size of steven rothery but he played like a young god and did some sweet solos.
but i wish they would have played some more songs of the fish-era...but never the less, it was nice to see marillion live - it was the first time for me, i only have the old video "live from loreley"

Thanks Joe, sounds great.

Live from Loreley was a long time ago :) Try "Marble" for the recent material with Hogarth and "Afraid of Sunlight" for the ultimate master piece for post fish era

thanks i´ll give it a try.
for me marillion died in 1988 after fish left the band. the first four albums were awesome, but i couldn´t get into the first album with steve h. and so i never listened to material with steve again.

sorry for OT!

Steve Rothery did a good job. He had good tones, but without any improvising as it seemed to me. Stood right in front of him.
I saw Marillion for the first time and only knew "Misplaced Childhood" so far. Regarding to this, they didn´t blew me away. The rest of the audience also was rather conservative. Hogarths acting on stage was not my cup of tea
