Hi there,

I just returned from the Steve Morse Clinic put on by Dave B - what a fantastic night! Steve is one hell of a player, and it was great to hear him talk. He really does go into detail with his answers! He played his #1 for most of the evening (to a tiny mp3 player!) though he did play some songs on Dave B's Franken Morse - which by all accounts he really liked! (Its a standard Morse with Y2D switching).

All in all a great night! My thanks goes to Steve, Dave B, Strings & Things and of course EBMM! I am gutted that I did not win the Benji in the raffle, and I am most pleased that I got to meet some forumites at long last! My no-thanks goes to drunk bloke (you know what I mean if you were there!!)

Ya these engl amps are getting quite popular lately.i was thinking about getting a mesa boogie but they are very expensive in here in europe.
these engl amps are supposed to sound fantastic.tough decision these days when deciding on what type of amp to buy.

Tim,

Thanks for the prompt post/pics/review. I have finally got home and have just drunk a nice ice-cold well deserved Stella Artois.

I will post a few thoughts and thanks in time once I have calmed down.

I think everyone will agree that the evening was a success.

Dave

P.S. I havent slept the past two nights worrying about this evening, hopefully I can catch up now :)

The Franken-Morse is painted with TVR flip-flop paint. Its not exactly the same as Mystic Dream (which I believe is a DuPont product - please someone correct me if I'm wrong) but gives the same Green/purple effect.

2.25am and I'm just back - I too will post more coherent thoughts after I've had some sleep, but what a great event - thanks to Dave, Strings and Things and everyone at EBMM and Engl for sorting this.
And yeh, thanks to the drunk..."I saw Purple in 94...was that you playing then?!!! Oh dear...
