There was a thread on the Boogie board where people were comparing it to the transatlantic and the electra dyne...
until i poster a full blown metal clip.The amp does everything and i'm also guilty of assuming it couldn't push alot of gain and for me it was the name of the amp.
I was amp shopping at Rudy's NYC(20 min's from my apt)for a new mesa amp,the salesman kept on saying Richie you gotta try this Royal Atlantic,i was like yeah,yeah and never tryed it.Came back a few days later and was looking at another Mark V head,he kept on saying just try it,it's amazing...soooo i did and i was like OMG!!!!!!!!!!!
I was sold on the spot!the cleans are the BEST i've ever heard from mesa(mind you i'm playing Boogie for over 25 years and have owned almost every mesa ever made beside the .22,triple rec,express models subway rocket and single rec.)Does enough gain for any metal guitarist ie;"Lamb of god" and has a British voicing on lo-gain.So all in all it covers it all with out the compression or sag and sounds very Organic like.With the Dark Lord it really shines and you can hear it's wood tones(if that makes any sense)...

idk...i called EBMM today in hopes of hearing back with full spec's like the fretboard and pickups etc...
There very good over there so it should be a day or two..

Everyone's different,what guitar pick works for me might not work for you what neck feels good to me might not to you.
This is profiled after a 59' paul @ Joe B's request.I find it very easy to play and the amount of wood on the neck makes the guitar sounds BIG/Chunky/Fat/etc...You can really dig in!I LOVE IT!!!

Hmmmm. That's interesting. I think the y2d neck is my fav, might be too thick for my liking. We will see though!!!
