I have to confess, I've been going to Steve Morse gigs for a long long time...many, many gigs. I go all the way back to the 1980 Dregs line up...my favorite:

Morse
Sloan
West
Lavits
Morgenstein

Mine as well...but only going since 1980
and have never seen sloan live

These are still the most amazing shows for the price. And steve stays late and makes sure everyone who wants a pic or autograph gets one.

Funny story, I went to see Steve Morse at a local venue some time back. Exactly who would be in tonight's line up was a bit ambiguous. Steve had been doing a lot of clinic/performances at that time...very cool. I wasn't sure if it was going to be "The Steve Morse Band," "The Dregs" or some other incarnation. Anyway, when I got there I started asking some folks about the line up. One of the people I asked pointed to another guy standing near us and told me to go ask him. I figured the guy he directed me to was someone who worked at the venue. I walked over to the guy and asked "who will be playing tonight?" The guy looked at me with a big smile and replied, "well, I will for one...hi I'm Allen Sloan." Oh man, was I embarrased. I just didn't recognize him up-close-and-personal. I stood there with a dumb look on my face, not to mention the egg, and he just laughed and walked away. I'll never forget that night...great gig by the way.:D

oops..meant going since 1982. I caught them with Mark Oconnor on fiddle and was absolutely amazed.
What I wouldn't give at this point to see steve just do a concert of his classical compositions. Seen so many different shows with him in so many incarnations over the years...its the only thing missing...though he did play almost all classical stuff when he opened for dimeola et al
