Kestrou and I met at my studio tonight to swap guitar bodies. We then proceeded to catch Keb Mo at Bloomington Buskirk Chumley. It was a fun evening with Kestrou and the swap went perfectly.

Yup, neck pockets are identical between the "standard" Morse and the Y2D - and can you tell we go to the same hairdresser? :)

Just to add to the Music-Man-ness of the thread, Keb' Mo's bass player was playing a left-handed 5-string Music Man, which was strung upside down!

By the way, that roasted neck looks GREAT on that sunset purple quilt...

Oh - and in case anybody doesn't know who is who - I'm the guy with the long hair - Siddius is the other guy with long hair! :)

Great swap! Fortunately that the Y2D had a non matching headstock. Makes me wonder what my Honey Burst Y2d would look like with the roasted neck of my neptune blue Morse.. On the other hand I really like them they are right now.

This makes me want to see if anyone wants to trade a roasted Or all rosewood ASS neck for my Axis Sports maple neck. Maybe there is someone out there who doesn't like either and wants a standard maple neck...

That roast really suits the purple sunset.
Nice one guys.
It would be cool to see more of this sort of thing.

did you make the swap permanent or swept back?

Permanent.

Siddius prefers the Y2D model, and I prefer the "Standard" Morse.

I actually have (had!) two sunset purple Y2Ds, a quilt and a stripe - he wanted a quilt.

And, I already had a Neptune Blue Standard with a roasted neck - now I have two and the second is a "regular" maple/rosewood neck.

We're both happy boys! :)
