Not sure if I was remembering this correctly, but I thought there was a Steve Morse relic model one year. I'm thinking five years ago, so that probably means it was ten. Am I crazy? I can usually find anything and everything online, but I couldn't find anything. Maybe I just dreamed it

EBMM hasn't ever done a relic. If you saw what looked like a reliced instrument, it was road worn.

A few people have done it themselves. There's a video of an Ian Thornley clinic where he talks about taking a sander to his (looks pretty cool).

I don't get these worn guitars at all, fine if its done naturally over years and because of actual usage but to buy one like that new is weird, each to their own I suppose.

I don't get it either, but it has become quite the moneymaker for the big F and G brands, as well as third parties offering "relic" services.
