Steve Morse Signature VS Silhouette

Hi

Which of the guitars is best for metal? I like the looks on silhouette best, but am willing to offer that if Steve Morse sounds better for metal. JP models are to expensive and i want hardtail

I have the SMY2D, and mainly play metal, and I´m thinking in selling my guitar because I think it does not suit that particular style perfectly.

If you play Zeppelin, Beatles, AC/DC or classic stuff, the SMY2D is perfect, and specially with the clean tones, which are amazing.

Haven´t tried the Silhouette yet though, so I can´t compare...

As far as everything being stock on both guitars, the Morse model is better suited as the pickups are much hotter. You can really get some nice tight heavy riffing going on with the bridge pickup. However it also depends on the amp. You can of course change pickups to whatever you like to suit the style you play.
