Sheesh, just when I thought I had made my mind up on a new EBMM I read this.

I think I'm gonna have to go lie down in a dark room for a while.

Clarification required!

I have already ordered my y2d Morse guitar. I have made a sizeable deposit on this guitar. If there is an option or upgrade available for this guitar will I be able to choose or disregard even though my order is already placed? (Things like maple fretboards and piezos intrest me.)

If it is a standard feature that will be included on every one of these then all I have to say is "COOL!"

I only ask this so that you can help me to be a happy EBMM customer.

I'm right behind you NorM, I hope to place an order for mine by the end of the week. Working out a few little details... ;)

To get information like this from Big Poppa himself is just too damn cool. It just doesn't happen like this in corporate America too often.

If for no other reason, that would be enough to make me want to play nothing but EBMM guitars. Oh alright, so they make some damn fine guitars to boot...

Anyhow, I hope this all gets straightened out so I can place an order and have a reasonable build time to get antsy over. I guess this time around won't be as bad having the Petrucci to play, that is when I get it back after having Jon work it over.

hi tommy-

I just joined today, seems like a good time given this cool thread. I posted a pic of my ebmm morse model on the pics page. you can't see the flamed maple neck though...oh wait, that's on your guitars, not mine.

really cool to see you and janice the other day at rose's. all I've wanted to do since I got back to colorado is practice, but there is the small matter of my thesis getting in the way-

I am super excited to see the video content too.

I promise we will get the web feature up asap. The video is being sent down to the EB offices in The Desert.

Our Sound Engineer/Video Editing Guru, Ryan, is out of the office currently running production for the second stage on The Taste of Chaos tour. He may pop back in for a brief time. We will try to get a feature up in running for you guys very soon.

Thanks!

Brian

I saw some of the video, and it rocks. You get Steve kicking butt on the guitar, and a history lesson from Steve, and Big Poppa. Even if you are not a Morse fan(and you should be), it is just cool for you guys to see what the company is all about, and that is the people who play and endorse our guitars.(I say ours because I am lucky enough to be a small part of it). You guys need to pay attention when BP speaks here. It is amazing how much guitar history is here, and it is a rare company where the president (not upper mgmt  ) takes the time to do what Sterling does here.

Sorry bout the recent slowdown in the speed of the website. We know what the issue is and are taking measures to ensure that the website will flow faster.

We lauched the 9th Ernie Ball Battle of the Bands website two weeks ago, and are thrilled with the amount of bands signing up. 2200 bands have signed up since launching the site two weeks ago. All of the uploading and streaming are eating up bandwidth and access a bit more than we anticipated. The web flow issue should be resolved within the week.

Thanks -

Brian

So one of you guys have met Steve Morse? Thats my guitar teachers favourite player. My favourite is Kirk Hammett, hopefully you're familiar with him. I sent an E-mail to Steve, asking him to write one back, addressing it to Pat, my guitar teacher, but he never did.

Kirk,

I think a lot of us have met Steve Morse. But Jon works for Music Man and actually works on the guitars of the stars. Jon was treated to a earful of Steve as he put his new 20-year anniversary Music Man model through its paces. Some guya have all the luck! ;)

I met Steve Morse way back in the 80's. I have his autograph around here somewhere. I actually attended a clinic that he was teaching at a local guitar store back then.

Possible changes to the new steve morse model...

A. Single color pickups.
B. No binding.
C. Picture of Norm and Tommyindelaware on back, kissing (this may impact sales somewhat negatively).

KEITH

PS Man, how cool would it be to witness a new guitar being born with steve, BP, Jon and others around refining!

I'm outta the loop :(

Hmmm - I kinda like the zebra pickups with the binding.
