I was always a Billy Idol fan, and a big part of it was because he had Steve Stevens as his guitarist and writing partner. Though I have not pulled out any Idol CDs in sometime I probably will tonight.lol Idol could of easily took any punk guitarist who bashed away on barre chords all night as that is what he looked like. But by teaming with a guy who was technically on the money he had a lot of great riffs and wicked solos in his music that really made him different. I think he owes a lot to Steve. Wow by the way that is a solid Black EVH- the rarest of the rare. Wonder if he still has it.

He sold it to a collector. Was a personal gift from EVH. 1 of 4 black ones.

It sounds like one of the guitars 5th or 6th string is really out of tune on this.

I guess they'll still be asking Steve back despite this horrendous oversight. The nature of rock guitar is that with all that energy & all those bendings it pretty much need to be tuned every bar.
Relax, turn off the critical facilities & enjoy!

I've seen a few videos where he is playing the Axis; the solid black one and a translucent black one, as well as a trans purple with Vince, and then a trans gold with both Vince and Billy Idol. Very cool. I personally love my trans gold Axis that I got a few weeks ago; found my sound with my amp and that guitar, and have gotten really acclimated to the Axis; now I want another one.

I had one on order a couple of years ago (Trans Black Axis BFR), but the sales guy kind of screwed me, so someone else got the guitar. Now I think I want to order another.
