There was a radio comp in the US about 16 years ago (KNAC - i think) for passion and warfare......... the idea was to come up with a cool word to describe P&W....

The one that tickled mr Vai was Rainbowtious........ i only bring it up as it sounds like he brought a bit of colour to other peoples lives.

Great guy, I don't buy his signature guitars because he's the only one who can play 'em right!

He is a terrific human being. I got the free Carvin cd where he gives an impromtu, extended interview about his amp and people are making noise and talking in the background and he stops the interview and tells the guys to knock it off he's trying to do an interview----That kind of undivided attention is what's missing from most people, let alone "stars." Good on ya, Steve.

Every time I have had the chance to see Steve Vai perform I have always been super impressed and inspired. It seems like after every song I find myself saying, well... that was perfect.
To hear you say how he has helped your personal cause only endears me more. I'm glad he's part of the family

Vai gives the most sincere performances I've ever seen.

The enjoyment, charisma and showmanship is as natural as the brilliance that flows through his fingers.

Thanks for sharing, BP. Nice to know that another one of our heroes is really a nice guy and a class act.

I met Mr. Vai in 1997 on the G3 tour and have seen him since on three or four occasions. He's a very gracious and kind person, and takes a very sincere interest in the people to whom he speaks. No matter who they are. It's my pleasure to support artists like him.

BP - It's great to hear good things about famous people. I've never had the pleasure of meeting Steve Vai, but I've seen him in concert a number of times. Phenomenal performer. Thanks for sharing your story with us.

Steve Vai is awesome, it was so great to meet him at the EVO Experience... I had tears in my eyes explaining to him how much his music means so much to me and lots of guitar players everywhere.
He seems to be always generous, no matter if it's as a man or as a musician, his soul is deeply invested in everything he does and I am not surprised to read what this thread is about.

And Steve, bless his heart and record label, is bringing exceptional fingerstyle and progressive guitar players to a wider audience. Check out favoured nation!
