So my band and I were practicing yesterday and I was using my new hh sr5 and it was undeniably obvious that this tone does not sound anything like my sterling tone in a band setting. The lows come through and you feel them but the warm cutting high end is not there. If i here any high end at all, it has a clicky nature. I then get my sterling and play for a bit and theres the tone Im used to, cutting through like always. Then i decided to put my sterling in parallel. It was much more similiar to the hh sr5, with the highs getting a bit lost in the mix, and overall the tone just sitting in the mix better without cutting as much/at all.
This makes me uneasy, just because I have grown to love the Series tone. Dunno what to do.
I also think that when I buy a new amp, probably the Eden WT550, my tone will be changed as well, which may or may not help this situation anyway.
