All BPL basses were new stock mint pieces. The clearance Gc thread is a seperate beast. Those are gc old stock stratch and dents.

Oki. Thank you. Good to know. Just wondered if there might have been some new but old stock in there too. Instruments that have been put away for some reason or another for awhile......

Thank you.

Thanks BP for doing that, I too was frustrated like jan (hellboy)( by the way great explaination jan you hit the nail on the head on how us international people feel sometimes) I liked a few of the one offs and would have bought them in a heart beat so bring on the CLB charity auction.

Thanks for the happy outcome.

Thank you. Not an easy thing to express things like this for a swede. English is my third language. I was scared ****less that I´d write something that would ban me from the forum until the end of time and that I would end up in a place that looks somewhat like that flamed Stingray that I and others are interested in.... Easy thing to write something that people could missunderstand when expressing oneself in a language that is not ones first language..... I would not want that to happen. Frustrating to have things to say but perhaps not the ability to express it properly.....

Sincerely//Jan

Jan relax you are always good here...no worries and english is my second language too....I dont know what the first two are!

Thank you. Very kind.

Now if you ask someone from Britain they´d say that american english is a language all by it´s own so that might be one of them..... They also say this regarding american beer....:

Something like an EBMM Europe Bass Camp, maybe sometime around the Frankfurt Music Fair?

btw. its a shame that you guys do not have a booth there that is accessible for the public. You are leaving the place to the less talented manufaturers with no need....;)

well, i know you are right. But it would just be so much nicer to have some Music Man instruments for testing instead of 3 dozen never-heard-of chinese copyshops.

What happens 6 weeks prior? Summer NAMM?

Looks like the trans white Classic found a home. I got a pm from a new forumite who apparently bought it last night (hope you don't mind my letting the cat outta the bag), asking me for some details about it, since I was at BPL. The guy bought it without knowing for sure whether it had a birdseye or flamed neck, whether the headstock was matching or not, and without ever having played a 2 band before. To this I have to say ... right on, man! Smart play. That is one sweet bass, and it could turn out to be extremely rare.

It has a gorgeous flamed neck and headstock (non-matching). I was torn between that one and the fiesta red for a while ... a level of indecision approaching anguish. But in the end, as zombi stood there entertained by my torture, a voice inside said, "who're you kidding? you know you're a sucker for a figured maple board". And the fiesta red was making me salivate, to boot. It went back to SLO after the show, and was expected to ship either yesterday or today.

I actually took some pics of the neck on the trans white, but what sucks is that I had borrowed the camera from a buddy in San Diego, and his son grabbed it and went outta town with it Sunday morning, before I got the pics off. That's why I haven't posted my pics from the show, but I'll get 'em eventually.

Anyway, I'll leave it for the owner of the trans white to reveal his own identity. I'm glad it went to a forumite ... that's all 5 outta 5 Classics that were at the show.
