Question Sting Ray or Sterling or Classic Collection?

I've already seen several test clips at youtube then known the different between these two ones,
sterling has thinner neck and smaller body,also both of them have H or HS or HH pick up models.

but at this time my question is:

how is the classic collection of STING RAY and STERLING?

I've found classic collection is much more expensive than normal one,whatever the pick up H,HS,HH is.

so,anybody here here to answer,what the different is at CLASS COLLECTION?

The Classic Collection gives you the choice of flame or birds eye maple neck, includes a strings thru the body design, bridge w/mute kit and 7.5" radius,finished in an aged yellow, chrome truss wheel & battery compartment cover. There are also specific colors not available on the standard Stingray/Sterling line.

I have had a Stingray 4H, Sterling 4H and a Stingray Classic 4H. I love them all. All are great and I have recorded with all of the ones I have had. The Sterling was probably the most versatile out of the 3. That being said, I love my Stingray Classic. It has a very unique tone that none of my other basses have. You can also do some pretty cool things using the mutes on them too. I recently sold my Stingray 4H and my Sterling 4H to buy my last Bongo but I really did love the tones of those basses too. All cut through the live and recorded mix great without being overpowering. Not knowing what you like in a bass, it is kind of hard to make a specific recommendation to you. The Classic has a slightly wider neck than the other two and is also a touch heavier due to it not having a contoured body but in all honesty, when I switch to mine, it is barely noticeable.

The Classic has a 2 band eq only and uses humbucker with Alnico magnetic pickups.

The regular Stingray gives you a choice of a 2 or 3 band eq although most made are 3 band and uses humbucker also with Alnico magnetic pickups.

The Sterling basses uses a 3 band eq with 3 way selector switch for a single humbucker or a 5 way switch with dual humbuckers or H S configuration. The pickups on the Sterlings use humbuckers with ceramic magnets.
