Has anyone else seen these?

A little cheaper, 2 band EQ, gig bag, normal Ray colours, USA made.

I dont understand what the differences are....especially the 133 Series nametag.

Can anyone help?

I don't know who's calling them the 133 series. The 133 is actually the first 3 digits of the part number. So it's as good a moniker as any !!
Strings & Things have taken delivery of these 2 EQ Stingrays that come in a choice of 3 colours ie. Black , Pearl Blue and Candy Red with maple or rosewood boards in a gig bag instead of a hard case. These are genuine USA
made Stingrays that are available at a more affordable price. Just our way of helping out in the recession.

Movielife - my fretless has this sort of gig bag - delivered with it, the previous owner said. It's still fine and the bass is immaculate.

Why not buy one of these 2 bands and buy a 2nd hand EBMM case later if you feel you need it. Great value and Terry's great to deal with at Absolute also.

Is this instrument unique to Europe?

These instruments are regular 2EQ Stingrays available worldwide.
We just bought a bunch of them with gig bags so we could offer them in the UK at a more affordable price. They are selling for £999. The normal UK suggested selling price for these basses is £1485.00

Nearly 30% off the normal selling price due to a quantity purchase and different case; well done!
Here's to hoping they sell quickly.

Hmm, still thinking on this.

I know the idea is limited colours and gig bag, but if I can upgrade to a White, natural or burst and get a hardcase, I'll pay more!

I've spoken to my dealer who said one of these is in stock, so expecting a price soon.

But you wouldn't be upgrading...you'd just be buying a standard 2EQ Ray in white, natural or burst (if EBMM is doing those colours, or the dealer has one in stock somewhere).

These are cheaper because they managed to get a good bulk price on them with a gig bag instead of a hardcase (a gig bag probably saves a little in shipping price/unit too).

Point taken. What I'm trying to say is I'll buy new instead of used if any small type of offer is available on different colours with a case.

If I liked the colours I'd buy one, that's all I'm saying.

Tempted....tempted.

Black/rosewood is a possibility.

Even though I know I love a 3 Band, a 2 band might be necessary as well.
