StingRay 5 and Sterling players. 3-way switch questions.

i seem to do all three.
its not the fact that we dont use it, its the fact that we could use it if needed. we all know that that little switch is the coolest thing about the sterling. and switching it back and forth when someone askes you for a different tone automatically makes you look like you know what your doing.

bridge position 60% of the time for finger and slap
neck position 35% finger style or thumb for a dead tone
middle position the rest for pick style playing with an attack just behind the p/u

With a set of DR's, an Eden amp and Eden or SWR cabs, all the positions aoudn good and I use them all for different things. I usually start every gig, every night in the center position with the bass set flat and adjust to the room or as my ear "sees" fit through the cousre of the night.

My quest for the "perfect" bass ended a year ago when I bought my Sterling...

I generally keep the switch in the "neck" position, but found myself using the "middle" position a bit more often lately. I find the "middle" position especially inviting when playing with a chorus effect.
