I am not worrying because of the time but because of canada post pretending the bass arrieved in the destination country last monday while dhl as their carrier here say they have nothing. dhl are the ones that should do the customs declaration. Therefor they should get a scan before it goes into custom processing, but this did not happen.

This is why i feel a little strange about it...

In my experience, DHL tracking is the worst. Half of the stuff I've had shipped to me via DHL shows up at my door before it shows up in their tracking system. I wouldn't worry too much.

WE HAVE A TRACE!!!!

A nice woman at dhl took a closer look and found something in a special international non public tracking system.

It seems like Canada Post made a mistake and sent the bass to Great Britain because some d**b F**k wrote GB instead of GE in the destination form.

Now I hope they will get it on the right way...

Stingray 5 bfr rosewood - I'll happily look after it for you!

Seriously, glad to hear dhl know whereabouts your bass is, and fingers crossed it makes it to you without any further incident, looking forward to seeing the pics when it arrives....

Well, all Canada Post has to do is get in touch with their carrier in GB. They will not be able to find the destination adress over there on the islands...

Good to hear the bass didn't disappear :p
I ordered my Bongo from someone on Ebay, getting from LA to Amsterdam only took around 5 days, but then it was stuck at customs for almost 3 weeks ¬¬ (mainly because the seller didn't fill in the correct price... meh)
In other words: shipping big things from another continent usually takes a while

Gee I was wondering where this nice present came from, for a minute I even believed BP sent it to me to show that he likes me after all, now I'll have to return it.

On a serious note I am really glad it has been tracked, its a big sigh of relief from everyone here that shared your concern, I wouldn't wish losing a bass to anyone.

Hey, finally, really glad it's made it through the shipping quagmire, soon as you play it you'll forget the nightmare. Great update, all the best, Rick

I got it! Its a gorgous looking new condition Instrument! It is very light and will be a pleasure to play after a little string setup.

I had to go back to work after picking it up from customs but everything went fine, nothing was broken on its odysee. I wish i had an A to tune to around, but this will have to wait.

I will take some pictures of my happy face together with the bass later and load em up.

Thanks to everyone for the support!! You are great and it is a pleasure to be here!
