My data lists it as a 2002 Bass (but it could be an early 2003).....

E33705...Oct 2002.
E34465...Dec 2002.
E34885...2002. Black with Maple. Black pg.
E35200...Feb 2003.

.....but have no idea where I got your serial# from.

Either way, very late 2002 or very early 2003. :)

re:dates / for Rod

Hi guys, sorry to bug you Rod but it seems as though you're the serial#/date authority. I just bought an SR5 new from a shop and it's serial# is 26200 it's a natural finish w/rosewood board and shell pickgaurd. Exactly the same as the photo that comes up when you plug those specs into the "build an instrument" section of the MM site. Could you shed some light on it's date for me??? Or where I could find out the dates?
Thanks alot.

Hi Psychicpet.... looks more like an old 4 String serial# as opposed to a SR5.

Perhaps the serial should be prefixed with an "E".....

Recheck and confirm if the serial# is....."E26200". If so, I should be able to pin it down to within a month or so of the year of manufacture.

Cheers :)

Ok....either Oct or Nov 2001. Keep in mind though that some serials don't fall into chronological order. With EB it's rare!....not at all like Pre-EB serials....

E25559...10/01

E26210...11/01

Eventhough you bought it new, it must have been sitting in the store for a time...which is no big deal...:)

Derek would be able to give the correct month.

Cheers.

P.S. Talk about missfits :p

I have to say, this is so great.
I don't know many companies where either customer service or fans of the brand will help you find the building date for your instrument. It's fantastic !
I never thought of looking that up before I visited this site, and anyone who hasn't probably will find this pretty weird, but over here, it's the most natural thing on earth.
Thank God for Ernie Ball ! :D
