not good....

You can see it´s a five string in a four string body imitation. How can they get away with it? Looks like they are selling in big quantities too! And if you scroll down you can see Gib***s, Rick******s and other USA brands. Shame.

WTF?? Why can't sellers just admit it's a copy and sell it as "Musicman Stingray COPY"!
As noted above, it's obviously NOT a real Stingray, so why try to fool someone?
Besides, who would believe ANY REAL Stingray is $300/$400 USD!
That's pretty effin' bold too, to put the EBMM logo on it, full well knowing it's a copy!
Gotta love interweb retail.

Not sure how much of a 'trap' it is. They're not selling them for $1500 USD. They're $300/$400 USD. That's about right for a copy of any bass.

However, using the real branding is complete BS and definitely should be stopped asap!

true, but if it's crap and the people get to think the EB basses are crap...hopefully there's some effective (legal) way of stopping it

ofcourse Big Poppa could buy them all and use them as fire-wood for a BBQ, if they don't remove the 'ernie-ball':D

WOW thats pretty bad, there is an article in December 09 issue of Premier Guitar talking about the counterfieting business, especially in China and the company in the link is one of the worst, all I can say is scumbags.

Dead giveaway for it being a fake:

Oval pickguard on a 'Ray 5.
Sunburst finish doesn't "fade" as much from color to color.
Black finished on the back.
No decal on back of headstock.
No stamped MusicMan name on bridge and tuners.
Four bolt neck attachment.

Nobody seeing the diamond in raw here?! That's a nicely flamed neck....

...especially if lit with a flamethrower...

(But are you all really surprised? That's what they do for decades with watches. Cheap poeple generally don't care about the quality but like to show off expensive stuff.)
