When I was looking to buy my first Stingray I faced the question everyone faces: H, HS or HH. Now, normally this would be an easy question, just hop on Youtube and check out some soundclips or head to the local music store to try them all out and see what is best. Since, here in NB, the second option isn't an actual option and since there doesn't seem to be soundclips of an HS model stingray on Youtube, I decided to post my own.
This isn't a demo of my playing ability (just did a single take, for the pure purpose of showing the sounds) or of my presentation skills (how many times did I say uhhhh....ummm....uhhhh) I just hope this thread can help people decide which model Stingray they would like to get.
The bass in this clip is a brand new (2014) PDN Neptune Blue Stingray, plugged direct into a Steinberg CI1 interface with no effects, preamp or EQ. The EQ on the bass itself is also flat, so what you're hearing is the pure sound of the bass.
