Been playing a cool country bar once a month in Dothan Alabama called Cowboys. We do a Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday night once a month. LOTS of big names have come through Cowboys over the years.
This past week/weekend we had some great Nashville cats join us, Johnny Lee Carpenter on fiddle (who was Tracy Byrds band manager) and Vic Lawson on steel guitar who just finished a run with Luke Bryan. These cats have really impressive resumes. They were great guys to boot.
All that said, we all signed a release Saturday night because there was a big crew that came out to film a TV show, thats supposed to be airing nationally. Im not sure of details (network, show name, etc) but will update that info as I get it. A handful of scenes were filmed as we played and I was told there was a good chance that my SR5 would be on national tv.
May not seem like a big deal, but I think its pretty cool that I may get some airtime with my #1 bass.
heres a pic of the stage at Cowboys:
