I've noticed that a lot of aftermarket pickguards for a Stingray 5 have a slanted mounting location for the pickup selector switch. But... on the newer Stingray 5s, the switch is "straight" (parallel to the strings). I've never opened-up a Stingray 5, so I'm wondering, can you switch between pickguards with "straight" or "slanted" switches, or is there something in the construction of a Stingray 5 that would prevent this?

Hey Slater, I'm in the D as well. I play an '01 Stingray 5 that has the angled PU selector switch, I'm looking for a new pickguard too. It looks like it is straight up and down unless you hold the bass in playing position, you will see it has an angle to it. Let me know if you found a source. I want a while pearl one. :)
IDEALLY...I would like to make my 5 look like a 4, but that ain't happening. Anyone ever do this?
