Well, I opted to go with pearl blue over pacific blue burst. Got a good deal off Bass Central. Might be here before the end of the week.

Yep - single H - I've owned 3 (now 5) Sterling 5s - H, HH, HS and I wish I had kept my Blueburst 5H, but needed the bread at the time - I now own 2 Sterling 5H basses (tobacco burst & a PDN) - as stated, you always come back the the H - as the original Stingrays were - killer, cuts thru the mix type of tone AND I had issues with the HS and HH when playing slap style - that neck pup does get in the way IMO of course. I got my PDN from BC - great cats over there for sure.

It's not easy for smaller companies to do that, which is why usually its best to just call up and find out what they have. They were VERY fast on the email responses, and I'm sure they can custom order something, if you want it.

i NEVER slap so I'll take the versatility in tone for the 5HH vs the 5H PLUS I naturally love playing off the neck pickup. I plan on custom ordering or waiting for NAMM if my Reflex HH5 sells.

See, I played a 5HH in a guitar center up in Kalamazoo for a while, and i always kept going back to the Bridge pickup. I just found the neck pickup too broad sounding. The bridge pickup? LOVED it. With the HS, I like the Neck pickup a lot more. Less boomy and more round. Eventually I may have to get an AlNiCo H5 to compare to my Ceramic version.

Anyway, the bass arrived today, a day early. My DOB is tomorrow, so this is my birthday Bass. The bridge pickup it came with has the ears, so I think the "brick" shaped pickups are older pictures/models.

Bass is Pearl blue, rosewood fretboard, white pickguard and white pickup cover. Should have pictures tonite.
