As this thread is about string action, I would like to ask for some advice to all the good techs.
I try to have low action because my fretting hand (left) isn't very strong so it avoids pain and let me play faster and with mor precision. The problem is that my plucking hand is rather strong, with long fingers and as I play I often go hard on the strings. This causes some bad noises, not really buzzing but like if the string was hurting the frets ; hard to describe how it acts, its a bit like if the string was slapped but it doesn't ring, it stops the note. This happens in particular when I play the same note quickly. I tried to put less strength in the plucking hand, but my natural tendence is to go hard on the strings (hard to fight yourself).

Any good advices ? Should i try strings with more tension to avoid that (I currently have EB slinky 45 / 100) ?
